Introduction agreement
By law, you must have a signed introduction agreement with a client before you provide any service to them.
The agreement must include details about the:
- cooling off period
- cancellation terms
- full details of the services you will offer
- payment details.
The agreement can be cancelled, if:
- you do not give the client a pre-contractual disclosure statement and introduction agreement—you will have to give them a full refund
- the client does not follow the payment restrictions under the Introduction Agents Act
- the client wants to cancel the agreement.
You face penalties if you break the law.
